Pastor Scott is the Assistant Pastor and Youth Pastor at Freedom of Worship Church in Norton, VA. He and Ashley, his wife, have two children: Carter Glen Addison and Lucas Alexander Addison. Both Scott and Ashley grew up in Norton, and were raised in the Freedom of Worship Church. Involvement in church work is not a new thing for them. From their early teenage years each worked diligently in the church in many volunteer capacities.
Ashley is dedicated to training up young women of God. Ashley is a 2003 graduate of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree and Teaching Certificate in Mathematics. She currently teaches mathematics at Coeburn Middle School.
Scott is a 2000 graduate of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and teaching certification in Business and Marketing. After attending UVA@Wise Scott moved to Northern Kentucky where he worked on his masters degree in business and worked at Community Pentecostal Church. While in northern Kentucky Scott traveled as an evangelist and ministered throughout the eastern U.S., Alaska, and Mexico. Shortly after moving back to the area Scott filled the youth pastor position at Freedom of Worship Church. Since October of 2001, when he began working with Battle Zone, God has done incredible things. The group began with around 7 members that were hungry for God and their prayer and diligence have turned a small youth group into a thriving teen ministry that ministers to dozens of teenagers every Wednesday night.
Pastor Scott travels extensively throughout the southeast as an evangelist and conducts youth and adult revivals and outreach services locally as well. Scott is currently completing his Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in strategic leadership through Amberton University in Garland, TX. When not on the road, Pastor Scott cherishes his opportunity to spend quality time with Ashley, Carter and Lucas.
