Going Live with Christ

This week I have worked so hard to get our new website ready to "go live". (Hope you like it, by the way) As I was working on getting some flash objects to display correctly the thought hit me: What if we worked as hard to "go live" with the message of Christ as I have on this website. I think its amazing at what can steal our attention and what we invest our lives in. As I read the words of Christ when he exclaimed "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me" (Luke 9:23), I wonder if the average believer really personifies that type of behavior.
I'm not writing this with anger or trying to hurt anyones feelings. But I think we would all feel challenged if we were to examine our own lives. I know that many of us try to live our lives with excellence and do everything we do "as unto the Lord". But how much of that does Jesus really get the glory from. I was at a religious event recently and the person I was sitting with blurted out, "Oh my goodness". I said, "what?!?!" They said, "that person right there, I wouldn't have thought they would have been here, they just never acted like a Christian." Okay, before I'm flooded with emails I realize that we are not to judge anyone. But didn't Christ instruct us that we would know a tree by the fruit it bears. Doesn't mean that we should all be bearing fruit, behaving in such a manner that shows what, or who we believe in.
Which leads me to the purpose of my rambling, what if we were to "go live" with Christ. Personally I believe that we would turn our communities upside down with the love and hope that could only come from Jesus. Just imagine what that would be like... to "go live" with Christ. If you can imagine, just read the book of Acts and I think you will be as challenged as I am.
